Local content prominent as CSFF returns to Winnipeg

WINNIPEG, January 30, 2013 – The sixth annual Canadian Sport Film Festival (CSFF) today returns to Winnipeg on February 7-8 and local filmmakers and locales will feature prominently. Opening night at the Park Theatre (Fri, Feb 7 @ 7pm, tickets available online) will include the theatrical premiere of Tailwind: Prairie Harvest, the story of Steve Langston and friends’ 1200-km bike tour of Manitoba to highlight local food growers and the biodiversity of our province.

The following night, CSFF returns to The Forks and its innovative “snowscreen” for a free screening (outdoors!) of a program of short films (Sat, Feb 8, 5:30pm, repeated at 7pm). That program includes two short films from local filmmakers — The Toilers of ’33 and The No Regretzkys — among the eight films being screened. Full program details follow below and are online at sportfilmfestival.ca
